Are you having skin problems, feeling achy, digestion issues, and just feeling plain slow? Then you may need to detox. Cleaning, resting, and nourishing your body, and cleaning the blood is what detoxing is. It will help you to protect yourself from disease and maintain health. The body eliminates toxins through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, and liver. So detoxing will help you by improving circulation of the blood, aiding in elimination of the intestines, and driving toxins out of the liver and body.
Detoxing and cleansing the body should be done every year to 6 months for good health. It is not recommended for anyone to detox when they are breastfeeding, or have cancer or other degenerating diseases. Ask a doctor you have any questions about whether you should cleanse or detox. Cleansing your body will help with symptoms of unexplained fatigue, slow bowel, skin break outs, allergies, minor infections, menstrual difficulties or mental confusion.
The first thing you should do is eliminate any toxins that you can from entering the body. This includes alcohol, cigarettes, fatty foods, and refined sugars. These substances can prevent the healing process from happening.
There are a few ways to help your body detox and cleanse itself. You can eat a lot of fiber, like brown rice, fruits and veggies, Spirulina, chlorella, and seaweed are also good for help to detox. Green tea, cabbage, broccoli, dandelion root, and milk thistle protect the liver. Take vitamin C and drink 2 quarts of water each day. Doing deep breathing exercises will promote blood circulation and sweat in a sauna so your body can get rid of toxins by perspiration. Exercising is a very important aspect in cleansing. One hour a day is recommended.
Now detoxing and cleasning the body doesn t really mean that you have to diet. All though, there aare diet detox s out there. So don t feel like you have to deprive yourself of food and starve to clean your system out. Its actually very important that during detoxing you are eating plenty of natural and fresh foods. It is still very important that you drink at least 2 quarts of water a day during your detox. Some good food to eat during your detox are, fruit and veggies, nuts, seeds, fish, brown rice, whole meal bread, olive oil, garlic, and herbal teas, fruit and vegetable juice, and drinking hot water with a slice of unwaxed lemon. You should avoid eating things like dairy, red meat, and processed or convenience foods.
Some times there may be some slight side effects that can occur during a detox. These include mild headaches. Headaches usually happen with people who drink caffeine, smoke, and drink alcohol often. These appear usually on day 2 or 3 of the detox. Increased amounts of skin blemishes will happen because the body is purging of toxins. Increased bowel movements will happen too. This is a sign that the body is cleansing itself.
The headaches can occur whilst the body is learning to live without chemicals and stimulants. These usually appear on day 2 or 3 of the detox and can last for up to 24hours.The appearance of spots and other skin blemishes are not uncommon – drinking plenty of water (which you should be doing on your detox anyway) will help. And furry tongue is another sign the body is releasing toxins. Alternative Health Supplements offers a number of detox and cleansing products to help you cleanse your body.
